The Site of The Month For July is Carolina Speedway. Located in Gastonia NC, this historic 4/10 of a mile bullring was taken over by David Ift and his family in '01. They have made many renovations to turn this into a class family facility. Racing every Friday night.

During the final lap of the Daytona 500, a legend was lost. It is with deepest remorse that we bid a farewell to one of the hardest charging, greatest drivers our sport has ever seen. We would also like to send our

thoughts and prayers to all of his family and friends, as well as to the millions of loyal fans of the 3 car. Over the course of this week, we will be putting together several tributes to the 7 time Winston Cup Champion, to honor his memory. In the meantime Thats Racing.com has a great slideshow here. If you would like, you can add your memories or thoughts in our Forum. Please,  remember the family, crew, friends and fans in your prayers tonight. My tribute to Dale here

To send cards and wishes, the family receives them at Dale Earnhardt, Inc., 1675 Coddle Creek Highway, Mooresville, NC 28115. And to his long-time friend and car owner Richard Childress at 180 Industrial Drive P.O. Box 360 Welcome, NC 27371-0360

The family of Dale Earnhardt wish to thank everyone for their support and ask that in lieu of flowers, you make a donation in memory of Dale Earnhardt to:

Foundation for the Carolinas
1043 E. Morehead St, Suite 100
Charlotte, NC 28204
